Child Sponsorships

At VKids Trust Uganda, we are committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children by providing them with education, care, and a safe environment. We currently sponsor 55 children, ranging from 3 months to 18 years old. Around 50 of these children are enrolled in schools, where we cover their tuition fees, ensuring they receive a basic education. The remaining 5 children have different disabilities: two are attending a school for the hearing impaired, and one is living with cerebral palsy. Many of the younger children under our sponsorship reside at the VKids Outreach Centre. They were brought to us due to neglect or unsafe home environments. For example, David, a nine-month-old boy who was severely malnourished, is now being nursed back to health at our center. Shalom, a 3-year-old girl, joined us when she was just six months old after being rescued from an unstable home where her mother struggled with her mental health. Our mission is to provide these children with the love, support, and resources they need to thrive and have a brighter future.

The Children born on the Island of Bugala, Kalangala, like those born anywhere, are enthusiastic, hardworking, and full of ambition. However, the Island's remoteness and high unemployment rates, combined with prevalence of prostitution, child neglect, and in some cases, child abuse, limit opportunities for many. As a result, many children are trapped in a cycle of poverty, with a few ways to escape.

The opportunities we provide give these children a chance for a brighter future. Your donation of $35 month (a little over $1 a day)- helps cover tuition fees. While this amount helps with education, there are additional costs such as school uniforms, meals, books, and other essential supplies, Any extra support you can offer will help ensure these children have the ensure these children have the resources they need to succeed.

We are honored to bridge these future leaders with the opportunities they deserve.
